does anyone have links for this episode, too? hashei and matriliner have been repeatedly posting bad and incorrect links for almost half of this series. it's really annoying when you get in to a show and then miss a lot of it. can't we get their bad links removed? i've tried flagging them but the system here doesn't work the way we need it to. :o(

Team Cohutta, it is a FUN lighthearted show, why all the serious mumbo jumbo about ST ? Which I love too by the way, but they are very different this one being a comedy (more so in S1) Your rant reminds me of a teenager having a hissy fit at being grounded! Just chill the F out dude sheesh, so much drama.

You are so very, very WRONG Kyndryd! The chaplain is played by Teddy Sears who is way to young to be Betty/Brittany's father! Betty/Brittany's father is played by Kyle Secor and he was on Homicide: Life on the Street and was a detective. He has appeared in many tv dramas over the years and most recently in Confess.

Dearest reviewers,I have never reviewed before, but I have been patiently watching shows on here for several months. Sometimes shows have many links that work, sometimes only 1 or 2, but if you can only find a couple that work, you may begin to notice a pattern. Currently, I am watching Criminal Minds. For most episodes (like, 9 out of every 10), the last link from thevideo . me works. Those are all from 4 years ago. But hundreds of links that are more current lead to episodes which have been removed. If you can't find a link that works, be patient, ask (politely!) if anyone has a link, skip the episode, find it somewhere else, or just come back tomorrow. Nobody is obligated to keep every episode of every show up to date all the time. But anywho, its nice to meet you all, and thank you uploaders for all that you do for us watchers!

this site is purely for convenience, all the linkers do is download the recordings of other people (usually the original recorder is in the file name) and upload them to these sites. you can always try to look for torrents yourself, the downside is you need to download it and well it can be a mess to find what you want.

@Irishhawk08 & @angrykittyboutique & @others new to Here: Admins are Legends that ride forth only when this World is in great Peril. Trusted Users and Editors are their Deputies, the Honored among those who do the Linking: the human ones are clever and usually provide Good Links; the robot ones are often quicker, but dull of mind, sometimes linking Absolute Crap. Links are like Flowers: most perish very quickly; some last for a short time; none last for months and months. All you can hope for then is that a generous Linker (like Our Lady @Tonia1) knows a special place that still grows that Flower and will Link it for you.

@sswarlock--Thanks for your labor in getting the 10 episodes of TUA up quickly; I'll be bingeing on them this weekend. And I wanted to add this factoid: One of the stars is Brit Tom Hopper (Merlin, Black Sails, Game of Thrones), a truly good guy, who earlier in his career did large billboard and media ads for male cancer. Men--or their wives and girlfriends--noticed, and a lot of cancer was caught early enough to save lives.

@knucklehead6996 the thoughts of a mindless murdering drone is irrelevant as you mentioned you served in the Army . And if all it took for you army boys to de-humanize a human being and make killing easier was a racial slur you need to eaxamine that further . The first gulf war was because of Iraq invading Kuwait I get that and even might go as far as saying I "appreciate" America coming to the rescue but the second one was all economic, the scare of non existing WMD's to justify the ceasing of a foreign resources (crude oil - in lamen terms) and if you thought that the USA served anyone but its own interests you've got to put that kush down my friend. And what about the other coutries I mentioned am I to understand that you've only got a problem with me criticizing desert storm ???

I love the way Orville (i.e Seth) presents age old human ideology from a different POV . All of the Issues they have tackled so far hit so close to home , cause we can relate and draw similarities to the problems and controversies we are currently facing . This episode is no different . This show is funny , powerful , current with the right amount of heart . I'm gonna watch Star Trek Discovery next and although I am a fan of Trek there's just no following Orville .

Finally a slot for Doom Patrol on the 15th, but still no slots for Netflix's 10-episode dump of The Umbrella Academy. ( Writer Gerard Way has said that DP was one of the inspirations for TUC .) And the Golden Age of comics and scifi on screen goes on...

Watch Star Trek: Discovery Online

Set roughly ten years before the events of the original Star Trek, the series follows the crew of the USS Discovery as they discover new worlds and civilizations, while exploring the franchise's signature contemporary themes. The season-long story line revolves around an incident and an event in Star Trek history that's been talked about but never been explored.

I AM an old time fan. watched the ORIGINAL RUN of TOS, participated in the Save Season 3 letter campaign (real stamps and envelopes, no email back then) and helped keep the franchise relevant during the "dry years". I don't care for Disco. Mainly my issue is "WHY a prequel?" ALL the problems from older fans would go away had it been set after TNG-era shows, the "Klingons made new aliens, and Michael an adopted child of aging Spock. ALL the problems would evaporate.

Seriously, I don't know what they are watching or if they need a "stickectomy" but Star Trek: Disc is awesome. I imagine it was how it was always supposed to be; the story lines are great (some really good twists and turns in there), the graphics are amazing, the cast is brilliant! Of course it sends some bad messages (new world order, you know), but i think that we have the mind to seperate the show from all that

My understanding is Netlix offers subtitles for Klingon speech. Is there a reason no uploader is using them? Could it be that they were only available for the very first two episodes?

Trek fans seem to have been priming themselves to hate this show for the best part of a year now, and the fact that the two-part premiere was genuinely excellent - far better than the last 4 films, Enterprise and Voyager - doesn't seem like it'll stop them. Strong script, pacing, production, characterization and concept, plus a realistic and complex look at how two societies can stumble into war; this is a show where actions have consequences. Finally the franchise is doing something bold and progressive for the prestige TV era, and attempting its most ambitious storytelling in two decades. Surely that's what fans want, isn't it? You'd think Trek lovers would be excited to have a new Trek series. But apparently not. It's clear to me that a significant proportion of the fandom wants comfort food. "Regressive listeners behave like children. Again and again, and with stubborn malice, they demand the one dish they have once been served. A sort of musical children's language is prepared for them: it differs from the real thing in that its vocabulary consists exclusively of fragments and distortions of the artistic language of music. [...] Regressive listening is always ready to degenerate into rage. The regressive listener would like to ridicule and destroy what yesterday they were intoxicated with [...]" - Adorno wrote this in 1938 about commercial jazz and its enthusiasts, but it applies equally well to fandoms generally, unfortunately including many professed Star Trek fans. You get a lot of people in fandoms who consume fetishistically - treating the object of their fandom not as a piece of drama, art or literature that's supposed to challenge, develop and break new ground, but as a comfort blanket of tropes - they just one that one reassuring staple served to them again and again. Fast food. This would seem to be why so many Trek fans are delighting in the critically-mauled Orville and its colorful brand of fast-food Star Trek while consistently attacking the well-received real thing (and believe me, Discovery is far more "the real thing" than the JJ Abrams movies or Enterprise). I don't think The Orville is terrible, but I do think that at present, there's unfortunately a greater appetite for its brand of lightweight, glitzily produced bros-in-space Trek than there is for a complex and tonally somber prequel featuring two non- white female leads. And that's a great pity; one that speaks to audience entitlement and a failure to treat Trek as what it is and what it was always supposed to be - drama. It only takes a quick look at some of the other reviews on here to see that this negative reception is not based the quality of the show's storytelling, but is either nitpicky in character (writing off the whole series because the Klingons have been redesigned, the ship's design/technology is wrong for the era, or even just the fact that Discovery is set in Trek's past and not its future) and/or has gendered and racial aspects, especially gendered. It's not automatically misogynist to criticise a Trek show with a female lead (Voyager was bad more often than it was good, and Janeway's characterization was highly inconsistent), but there has been a continuous strong undercurrent of misogyny (both dog-whistle and overt) in advance of and now in response to this excellent show. Everyone who thinks Discovery is decent and that it deserves a chance to thrive, whether Trek fans or general audiences new to the franchise, needs to support it, because otherwise we'll just be stuck with The Orville. Don't let the "fans" kill Discovery because they're too regressive in their consumption to recognize a creation of this quality - one that doesn't come around very often.

Not sure why they've set it in the prime time line but made it look completely as if it's in the Kelvin time line . Would have made more sense to have it in the new movie universe.

So they made up a Klingon language. Boring to watch with no subtitles for the Klingon stuff, and there's a LOT of it.

Actually not bad in my opinion. The beginning half of the episode felt like we as an audience had no connection to the main character, but as it progressed it to the 2nd episode, it soon smoothed itself out. I will be looking forward to the next episodes.
